With reference to previous conversations
which the Surveyor General has had the honour to have with His Excellency the Administrator and yourself on the subject
of
the appointment of a Sanitary Inspector as recommended in Mr. Chadwick's report at page 83 paragraphs 280 et seq., we now wish to represent to His Excellency the extreme desirability of making this appointment if possible on the 1st of January next, and if this proposal meets the approval of His Excellency, we beg to recommend Mr. Nicoll, the Govt. Analyst and Apothecary for the post.
